Chris Housel serves dual roles as a tax partner for many of the firm’s tax clients and as an audit partner in administering audits of various entity types including for profit businesses, not-for-profit entities, and 401(k) plans. He originally started in public accounting in 1998 with a small firm in Warner Center, helping them audit several publicly traded companies and serve other private businesses and individuals with tax matters. Chris has been with the firm since 2005.

Education and Affiliations
Chris has bachelor degrees in Accountancy and Business Administration with an option in Management Information Systems from California State University – Northridge. He serves as Treasurer for the Rotary Club of Moorpark Morning and is also a Life-Only insurance agent. He has served as a substitute teacher for accounting courses at a local university and participated in a financial literary course geared towards educating High School seniors on consumer finance matters.
Chris got his start in accounting, recording transactions for his grandfather’s machine shop at the age of 8 on a Commodore 64 computer – the family-owned business continues today and is nearly 100 years old. Chris has raised two guide dog puppies for Guide Dogs of America that are now serving two individuals living in California. Less than 50% of guide dog puppies raised will ever become a working guide dog. He continues to be a part-time puppy-sitter for others that raise guide dogs.
